Description

With its distinctive green dial and pattern inspired by the peacock’s feathers, the original SBGJ227 “Peacock” is beloved by Grand Seiko collectors. SBGJ261 reintroduces the Peacock, this time as a U.S. limited edition of 500 pieces with a mesmerizing blue and purple dial.

The dial of SBGJ261 features a texture achieved through an intricate press patterning process. The effect radiates from the dial’s center and is dazzling, evoking the vibrant plumage of a peacock’s train. Multi-faceted indexes and razor-edged hands offer high legibility and give the dial depth and dimensionality details symbolic of Grand Seiko's design.

Powering the watch is the Hi-Beat caliber 9S86, which runs at 36,000 vibrations per hour, delivers an accuracy of +5 to -3 seconds a day, and offers 55 hours of power reserve. A GMT function allows users to track an additional time zone, making SBGJ261 an excellent timepiece for frequent travelers.
